Ham and Swiss Strata
- 1 cup ham, ground
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, grated
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ½ tsp prepared mustard
- 8 slices white sandwich bread, toasted
- 6 eggs
- 1 ¼ cups milk
Combine ham, cheese, mayonnaise, and mustard. Set aside.
Divide mixture evenly on 4 slices toast, and top with remaining four slices toast, making sandwiches. Slice each sandwich diagonally twice, making four triangles each.
Stand each triangle in well-greased casserole dish. Beat eggs and milk well and pour over triangles in casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake casserole uncovered 35 minutes until set. Let stand 5-10 minutes before serving.
Serves 4-6.
