This room was once the the billiard room of Samuel Reed, George Vanderbilt's private attorney. Mr. Reed would invite guests, clients, and even George Vanderbilt himself here to play pool, drink whiskey, and discuss the day's dealings. Located on the ground floor of the main house, the Reed Room is the only guest accommodations with direct access to the beautiful wrap-around porch. There is even a section of the porch kept private just for you, offering gorgeous views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains and Swannanoa Valley.
